COVID Viral Testing

Here at Today Telemedicine, we are proud to provide At-Home COVID-19 viral testing services during this global pandemic. This test will determine if you are currently infected with coronavirus, regardless of whether or not you are presenting symptoms. If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for coronavirus or have recently travelled to other states or countries, we strongly suggest that you be tested through our at-home testing service and take the precautions advised by the CDC.

At-Home COVID-19 viral testing is $119 and can be billed through insurance. Be sure to check with your individual carrier to confirm the details of the coverage for your individual policy. The materials needed for your test will be mailed to you with instructions to complete in the comfort and safety of your own home. If needed, we can provide a medical order for the test.

It is important to note that a negative result does not mean you will not become sick in the future, as it is possible to have a negative result if you are tested in the early stages of the infection and test positive later in your illness.

Regardless of whether or not you choose to get tested, you should stay home and take the necessary precautions to stop the spread of disease if you have symptoms of COVID-19.

COVID Antibody Testing

At Today Telemedicine, we are proud to offer medical testing orders for COVID-19 antigen testing. This type of test can help to determine whether you have previously had COVID-19 and now have antibodies to protect against the virus. It is important to note that this testing does not determine if you currently have COVID-19, but instead provides information about whether you had it in the past and fully recovered.

Why is COVID-19 Antigen Testing important?
As we navigate this evolving virus, antigen testing can be a valuable asset in our understanding and research of COVID-19. Results of accurate antibody testing can help provide a better scope of how many people have been affected by coronavirus, including those who never displayed symptoms. This information aids in contact tracing, research regarding immunity, and strategies to help keep our community healthy.

If you are currently in good health, please contact our office for more information to see if you are a candidate for testing. Candidates for this type of testing must be asymptomatic for 10 days prior to testing. Once you receive your medical provider testing order from us, you can take it to your nearest LabCorp or Quest facility for testing. We appreciate your assistance in helping us navigate COVID-19.
