How do I get started as a new patient?

What kinds of concerns do you treat?

We provide online support for women navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, postpartum changes, mood concerns, ADHD symptoms, and medical weight loss.

Can I attend my visit from home?

Yes. Virtual visits are designed to be convenient and private, so you can connect from home or another quiet location using your phone, tablet, or computer.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept a variety of insurance plans. Please review our insurance information or contact us if you have questions about coverage, self-pay options, or eligibility.

What services are available?

  1. We provide 100% telepsychiatry services for patients in Florida only.

  2. Our practice focuses on psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy-related mental health support through secure virtual visits.

  3. We treat mild to moderate mental health concerns that are appropriate for telemedicine and outpatient psychiatric care.

  4. We do not provide emergency care or treat active suicidal thoughts, severe psychiatric instability, or other situations that require in-person or emergency support. If you are in crisis, call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room.

  5. We offer GeneSight testing when clinically appropriate as part of mental health medication planning.

  6. We offer QbCheck ADHD assessment support as part of our ADHD evaluation process when clinically appropriate.

  7. We prescribe psychiatric medications when appropriate, but we do not prescribe stimulant medications such as Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Ritalin, or similar controlled ADHD medications.

  8. We do not provide primary care, urgent care, or general medical services through this practice.

Do you take insurance?

  1. Yes, we are in network is large amount of commercial payers (examples but not limited to and expanding daily: Cigna, united, CHAMPVA , Medicaid, Medicare ect)
  2. No show fee or less than 24 hrs notice – $99

How do I know if you take my insurance?

  1. You can call (800-951-8257) or text (786-706-0822) (messaging rates apply from your cellular carrier) for us to check before scheduling
  2. OR you can self-schedule now (Click here to Schedule) (Advanced MD | Patient Portal) , paperwork is emailed to you to update that information, we check your eligibility before each visit and send you a secure patient message of results.
    • You can select on your intake paper work if you want to keep or cancel the visit if we are out of network and we will auto cancel it for you

Do you treat ADHD?

  1. Yes — we treat ADHD in adults (18+)
  2. Offer neurocognitive computer-based testing that can be completed at home
  3. Provide full evaluation and diagnosis of ADHD
  4. Treatment available using non-stimulant medication options
  5. Personalized care plans to help manage symptoms effectively

Do you prescribe stimulants?

No, we do not prescribe stimulant medications. If stimulant treatment is recommended as part of your care, we can provide a referral to an in-person psychiatry provider who can further evaluate and determine if stimulant medication is appropriate.

Our providers can still offer comprehensive mental health evaluations, non-stimulant treatment options, and therapy-based approaches to help manage symptoms effectively.

What ages do you treat?

  1. Adults only (18+)
  2. For individuals outside this age range, we recommend seeking in-person care

Who will I see on my visit?

  1. Physician assistants and nurse practitioners
    • Our psychiatrist and ER physician are medical directors only and collaborate with our medical team

Do you do FMLA?

  1. Yes but case by case
  2. Require weekly visits for management updates, progress and changes if needed
  3. Max 12 weeks, if extension needed, we refer local IOP (intensive outpatient care)

Do you do disability forms?

  1. No, recommend in person care for that

Do you do legal reports or court order evaluations/therapy?

  1. No, recommend in person care for that

Do you write for emotional support pets?

  1. Yes for established patients with routine follow up visits for care continuation
  2. Letters are written for 6 months and require follow up care to renew for medical conditions its being treated for (just like any other mediations would be managed)

Do you treat anxiety?

  1. Yes
  2. With non-controlled medications and therapy
  3. We DO NOT prescribe benzodiazepines (examples but not limited to Xanax, Ativan, clonazepam, klonopin. Valium ect)

Any medication you can NOT prescribe?

  1. We do not prescribe any controlled medications
  2. This includes (but is not limited to):
    • Benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Ativan, Clonazepam/Klonopin, Valium)
    • Pain medications (opioids, tramadol, Tylenol #3)
    • Cough medications containing codeine
    • Controlled sleep medications (e.g., Ambien, Restoril)
    • Weight loss medications such as phentermine

Can you do translator services on telemedicine?

  1. Yes
  2. We have virtual language translator services that can join the secure HIPAA video and can accommodate American Sign Language on video as well
  3. Requires advanced notice to set up 3rd party service

What mental conditions are you able to treat by telemedicine?

  1. Example but not limited to: anxiety, depression, panic, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, bipolar, personality disorders, eating disorders (if BMI over 20) , social anxiety

What can you treat for urgent care?

  1. Urgent medical needs are available for established patients only
  2. We can assist with common illnesses, UTIs, mild injuries, cough/colds, strep, and birth control refills
  3. We may provide temporary medication refills from specialty providers to bridge care until follow-up is scheduled
  4. If you are seeking urgent care or primary care services only, insurance will not cover the visit
